During the spring and summer, the new flow situation with East-West flows has had significant impact on the capacities Svenska kraftnät have been able to allocate for trade on bidding zone borders from an operational security perspective.
Svenska kraftnät will inform about the current situation, explain its interpretation of the so-called 70% rule in Article 16 (8) of the Electricity Market Regulation (EU) 2019/943 and talk about our measures to increase trading capacity, both in the short and long term.
The Energy Market Inspectorate will participate in the meeting and give their view on the interpretation of the 70% rule and on their role to monitor Svenska kraftnät's compliance.
