Balance settlement
A balance responsible party rarely succeeds entirely with planning a perfect balance. At such times, we get involved through the purchase or sale of electricity. The party who caused an imbalance has to pay the cost of restoring the balance. We calculate the cost in the so-called balance settlement.
The balance settlement is based on reported measurements. In order for the balance settlement to be correct, electricity market parties must report the correct information to us. The data must also be reported on time. There are strict procedures for how things must be done.
