Svenska kraftnät publishes the schedule for EPAD auctions during Q2 2026
Svenska kraftnät hereby publishes the auction schedule for the EPAD auctions during the second quarter of 2026, in line with its mandate to improve hedging possibilities in the financial electricity market. The EPAD auctions in Q2 2026 will be conducted on Tuesdays.
Svenska kraftnät offers recurring auctions according to predetermined quarterly schedules. A key aspect of this support to the financial electricity market is to operate with transparency and predictability. By regularly auctioning limited volumes on multiple occasions, Svenska kraftnät provides market participants with continuous access to hedging opportunities. In total, 440 MW will be auctioned across six occasions during Q2 2026. The auction volumes for monthly and Q3 contracts will be adjusted downwards[1], while the volumes for Q4 and yearly contracts remain unchanged.
[1] The downward adjustment is due to planned maintenance in the transmission network and primarily affects the volumes for monthly and quarterly contracts, as such maintenance activities are typically carried out over shorter timeframes.
The updated auction schedule covers auction opportunities from 7 April to 16 June 2026.
