Svenska kraftnät drives and supports research and innovation to develop the transmission system, enhance power system performance, and contribute to an efficient electricity market.
Through research, we advance technologies, methods, and knowledge that strengthen operational reliability, security of supply, robustness, cost efficiency, and the interaction between market design and system operation in a rapidly evolving power system.
We collaborate with universities, higher education institutions, research institutes, and industry. Our activities include research projects, doctoral research, and student theses, and are carried out both in house, through procured partners, and via Energiforsk, in which we are a co owner.
