Bids are received by Svenska kraftnät at a certain volume. Can part of the volume be cleared or is it always the entire volume that is cleared?

For FCR-N, the following applies: It is always the bid’s total capacity volume that is cleared. How much power is then activated during the hour depends on the frequency during the hour. The balance responsible party receives compensation for the cleared capacity volume and the power delivered during the operating hour.

For FCR-D up and FCR-D down, the following applies: It is always the bid’s total capacity volume that is cleared. How much power is then activated during the hour depends on the frequency during the hour. The balance responsible party receives compensation for the cleared capacity volume.

For aFRR, the following applies: It is always the bid’s total capacity volume that is cleared. The balance responsible party receives compensation for the cleared capacity and the power delivered during the operating hour.

For mFRR, the following applies: It is always the total bid volume that is cleared. The balance responsible party is only compensated for the power supplied during the operating hour.

For FFR, the following applies: Only total bids are cleared. It is not possible for part of a bid to be cleared. If during the year the actor wishes to be able to have parts of its resource cleared, the actor must already specify these bidding increments in the bid with a price per MW for each incremental step. This means that if the bidder in the bid phase has specified bid levels according to 0.1 MW, it is then possible to specify unavailability per hour for some of the sub-bids.

The bidding steps must also be linked to what makes it is possible for the resource to activate, i.e. if 0.1 MW is too small of an increment for the resource, larger increments are also possible. The bidding schedule/unavailability does not need to be detailed per bid increment, but can be detailed as the total available volume per hour.
