When are the different ancillary services procured?

aFRR is procured one week before operation (switches to procurement one day before operation, D-1, in May 2022).

FCR-N, FCR-D up and FCR-D down are procured two days and one day before operation. The majority of the capacity is procured two days before operation (D-2), the remaining capacity, the day before (D-1).

The mFRR ancillary service is cleared during the operating hour as required, and bids must be submitted no later than 45 minutes before the operating hour.

FFR is procured on an annual basis.
