Does Svenska kraftnät participate in prequalification tests?
Providers planning to prequalify less than 50 MW do not need to notify Svenska kraftnät in order to conduct the prequalification tests. However, Svenska kraftnät still have the right to participate during prequalification tests, and will continue to attend tests based on previously submitted applications and continuous dialogues with providers.
When Svenska kraftnät participates in a test, a date is chosen based on the availability of all relevant parties. A test may need to be postponed due to bad weather conditions. Therefore, planning of test dates should be done in close consultation with Svenska kraftnät.
When large volumes that exceed 50 MW are tested, Svenska kraftnät must be notified no later than one week before the test date to fcr@svk.se, ffr@svk.se, afrr@svk.se, or mfrr@svk.se (depending on the ancillary service/reserve to be tested).
When submitting a test notification, the following must be provided:
- Unit/group to be tested
- Ancillary service/reserve to be tested
- Planned BSP
- Time when the test will be performed and planned duration of the test
- Geographical location:
- For FCR tests: Metering grid area (MGA)
- For mFRR tests: Regulation object/If Regulation object is to be created, state metering grid area
- For other tests: Metering grid area
