How does the prequalification process relate to new technical requirements? When must resources be prequalified again?

Units or groups providing FCR, aFRR, FFR, and mFRR to Svenska kraftnät must be prequalified again:

• At least every five years or within another specified validity period in the decision,
• If the technical requirements, endurance requirements, or equipment have changed.
• If the equipment related to activation is modernized (Only applies to FCR).

When new technical requirements are introduced, all existing resources must be prequalified again to show that the new technical requirements are fulfilled. To make this practically manageable, it will take place during a transitional period.
