How should a wind farm, whose capacity varies depending on weather conditions, be able to conduct a maximum capacity test that must be planned well in advance with Svenska kraftnät?

Since December 2024, providers will no longer be required to notify via email about tests under 50 MW for prequalification. However, Svenska kraftnät still reserves the right to participate in prequalification tests and will instead select occasions based on previously submitted applications and provider dialogues.

When Svenska kraftnät participates in a test, a date will be chosen based on the availability of all involved parties. If weather conditions are not sufficient to demonstrate the maximum capacity in the application, additional tests may be conducted without Svenska kraftnät's participation. In this way, the provider has the flexibility needed to perform the test under optimal weather conditions.
