What determines how long the application to deliver ancillary services process may take?

The time required to complete an application process to deliver ancillary services is regulated by EUROPEAN COMMISSION REGULATION (EU) 2017/1485 – of 2 August 2017 – establishing guidelines for operating electricity transmission systems (europa.eu) Articles 155 and 159.

It states that within eight weeks after Svenska kraftnät has recieved a prequalification application, Svenska kraftnät must confirm whether the application is complete or whether additions must be made.

The potential provider has four weeks from initial response of the application to submit the additional information requested.

Within three months after Svenska kraftnät has confirmed that the application is complete, Svenska kraftnät must evaluate and report back with a decision on whether the unit or group fulfils the requirements for prequalification.
