What should we keep in mind when specifying the name of a group/unit in an application?
A unit/group must have a unique name. If we receive two applications that both have the same name for the unit/group, we will ask you to change the name of one.
However, several applications can have the same name for different ancillary services if they belong to the same group or unit. For example, if you have an existing application with the name "Sol 2B" for the ancillary service FCR-N and want to submit an application for FCR-D or mFRR and it belongs to the same group/unit. Then these must also be named "Sol 2B".
We advise against the name of the unit/group containing a company name. It is suggested that it is a neutral name that does not need to be affected if, for example, there is a change of BSP, adjustment of capacity, change of local/central control or other changes. Name changes of units/groups risk making communication between Svenska kraftnät and actors more difficult. Extra administration time is also required to implement changes in the event of name changes, which can lead to unnecessary waiting time for both the responsible actor and Svenska kraftnät.
