Can a variable resource providing mFRR increase its prequalified capacity?

Variable resources providing mFRR may, in cases where their capacity at the time of testing was limited due to, for example, unfavorable weather conditions, have their capacity increased during operation.

Following approval from Svenska kraftnät, the provider is then allowed to submit bids up to a maximum of 50% above their prequalified capacity, provided that they log data with a time resolution and accuracy in accordance with the requirements set during prequalification.

After the first activation based on the increased capacity, the operator must provide the logged data so that Svenska kraftnät can follow up and verify the delivery. Svenska kraftnät will assess the activation based on technical requirements and make a new decision regarding the prequalified capacity.
