Procurement of automatic Frequency Restoration Reserve (aFRR) from 7 December 2022

The Nordic automatic Frequency Restoration Reserve (aFRR) capacity market proceeds with go-live as planned on 7 December 2022, first delivery day is on 8 December 2022.

Starting from 7 December 2022, the distribution of aFRR volumes between the TSOs will be changed and distributed as in the table below. The table lists the minimum requirements. Individual TSOs can procure higher volumes in selected hours. The figures in the table is based on distribution of total Nordic volume of 300 and 400 MW.

The total Nordic aFRR volume remains as previously communicated. The total volume and procurement hours will be evaluated quarterly based on frequency quality.
